Monterey County Youth Museum

Want your kids to be inspired in a fun and engage setting? At the Monterey County Youth Museum, your child’s curiosity and creativity can flourish in a hands on and engaging environment. The museum is great for preschool and kindergarten aged children and there is even a special space for those 3 years old and younger. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday and closed on Monday. If you have young kids, consider this a fun way to spend some time!


Monterey Bay Aquarium

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a “must see” location when in Monterey. The Aquarium features plenty of different exhibits to get your kids excited about what the ocean There are exhibits on the giant pacific octopus, sea otters, penguins, and a fan favorite, the Kelp Forest - one of the tallest aquariums exhibits in the world. Here, you’ll get a look at leopard sharks, wolf eels, sardines and a host of other fishes that call the kelp forest home.


Point Sur State Historic Park Lighthouse

The lighthouse at Point Sur was first lit on August 1, 1889 and has continued to remain operational ever since. The lighthouse station sits 361 feet above the surf atop a large volcanic rock offering a dramatic view of the lighthouse and beautiful surfline below.
