Clear your weekend from November 6 – 8, because it is time for the Big Sur Food and Wine Festival! During the festival, you will get the opportunity to eat delicious foods from local restaurants and taste great wines, all while viewing the beautiful scenery of Monterey, California. Things kick off on Thursday, so join the opening night for “Gateway to Big Sur.” At this event, you will be able to spend the night at the beautiful and historic Hyatt Carmel Highlands in Carmel. From 5:30pm – 9pm, you will be able to eat delicious foods from over 20 chefs and experience over 40 wines that will entice your palate – and this is just opening night! On Friday, you can attend “Hiking with Stemware.” Here, pair a fun hiking event while drinking in the beautiful views, as well as wine. You will also attend the “Magical Mystery Tour.” At each location, you will visit three private properties that are along the Big Sur coast. Enjoy the view while you are offered food and wine. Later that night, go to The Henry Miller Library for the “Wine and Swine” event. Here, talented chefs will be making special pork inspired dishes. The meals will, of course, be paired with wine!
On Saturday, head over to Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park where The Grand Public Tasting will take place. During the afternoon, spend your day tasting from over 50 wineries and eat the tasty concoctions from over 20 chefs. Throughout the event, feel free to participate in the silent auction. Live entertainment will be held throughout the event.
