The TaylorMade Pebble Beach Invitational is once again returning to the sands of Pebble Beach. This annual event always proves to be an exciting event with both an individual winner as well as team competitions. This year, the TaylorMade Pebble Beach Invitational will be from November 17th through the 22nd. This golf invitational was created in 1972 and has returned every year since. What makes this invitational unique is that it invites players from the PGA, the Champions, the LPGA, and Web.com Tours. In fact, it is the only tournament in the whole world that does this. There will be three rounds of tournament play and then, there will be 54 hole cut to 10 amateur teams. Past participants of the the Pebble Beach Invitational include Luke Donald, Jason Gore, Ryan Palmer, Morgan Pressel, and Rickie Fowler. The purse for this year’s invitational is $300,000 with $60,000 going towards the 1st place prize. Teams made of amateurs include 4 players are are then matched up with a different pro on each day. Hosting this year’s Pebble Beach Invitational will be Johnny Miller, the U.S. and British Open Champion as well as the current Golf Analyst for NBC.
If you would like to be a spectator for this fine event, you are welcome to join for any of the events held throughout the week. In fact, the general public is welcomed FREE of charge. The Pebble Beach invitational is great event for spectating as the crowds are small and the fairway are allowed so spectators can walk directly down to behind the players.
