Do you love blues music? Enjoy hanging out with friends and eating great food? Then come down to Monterey Blues Brews and Barbecue on Saturday and Sunday, July 26th and 27th. For two days, enjoy live music and performances from some of the best Blues artists, sample craft brews, and have some finger licking good barbecue! For those looking for a good time and staying in hotels near the Monterey County Fairgrounds, come be a part of this amazing event!
Performances will be held at the Monterey County Fair and Event center. It is here that you will be able to see performances from legends in the world of Blues all the way to newcomers that are the next generation in blues music. Some artists that will attend are Memphis Gold, Kenny Neal, Joe Louis Walker, Homemade Jamz Blues Band, Elvin Bishop, Curtis Salgado, and Terri Odabi. There will be many different stages and acts performing at the same time, so don’t forget to plan in advance which artists you want to see. The schedule can be found at the official Blues Brews & Barbecue Festival website. Restaurants from all over the state come together to give you the best BBQ experience. Choose from sausage, pork and beef ribs, brisket and more! There will even be a blue ribbon given out for best BBQ and craft brew. Tickets are $40 for each day.
The Monterey County Fair and Event Center is a wonderful multi-use event center that is conveniently located in the center of Monterey. The location is home to a number of concert series, events, and expos that the whole community can enjoy. Some of which include the Reggae Festival, Annual Monterey County Fair, and the California Roots Music and Arts Festival. Nearby, there are many tourist attractions and great restaurants for people to enjoy as well. Don’t forget to stop by the coast to enjoy a view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean!
