Del Monte Beach Trip

Del Monte Beach in Monterey, CA

Visiting Monterey means you can enjoy time outdoors from the hiking trails to walking along the sandy shores of the various beaches along the coast such as Moss Landing Pier, known for being home hundreds of sea lions! Del Monte Beach in Monterey, CA is another great beach to visit that is also conveniently located right next to Ramada Monterey!

Del Monte Beach is a favorite of locals, which means you can avoid the busy crowds of some more well known beaches. The beach features a winding boardwalk that takes you through natural dunes as well as picnic tables along the boardwalk. Pack a lunch or snack to enjoy at one of the picnic tables while you take in the view of local surfers riding waves. There are also fire pits available at the beach so you can plan a whole day adventure at the beach or simply head out in the evening and enjoy some s’mores by firelight once the sun goes down.

To get to this location, off Del Monte Ave at Casa Verde Ave, turn towards the ocean. Follow the one way road, Surf Way, all the way until to Tide Ave. Park along the street next to the sand dunes behind the beach. If you feel like walking along the water, Window on the Bay Beach is in walking distance to the South and Houghton M. Roberts Beach is just a short walk away to the North.
