The Big Sur Half Marathon lets you run along the “Edge of the Western World.” This annual event will be held on November 14, 2010. The Half Marathon allows you to take in all the beauty of the world-renowned Monterey Peninsula. It is a gently rolling fast course that winds through historic downtown Monterey and Cannery Row, then proceeds along Pacific Grove’s coastline. There will also be a walker-friendly course for the Half Marathon. And on Saturday, November 13, there will be a Run Forrest Run 5K and the JUST RUN® 3K Fun Run for kids. This event is a must when you stay in Monterey!
Half Marathon Start Time & Location
The Half Marathon starts promptly on Sunday at 7 a.m. The starting location is on Del Monte near Figueroa Street right across from McDonald’s in downtown Monterey. The finish location is at the Custom House Plaza, which is near Fisherman’s Wharf.
Parking
There will be plenty of free parking available at the nearby Custom House parking garages.
